Shabelle Construction and Agriculture Development Company(SCAD) is implementation agency for the development of irrigation infrastructure and agriculture. The company was established in 2003 in Mogadishu, Somalia and continues to provide construction and agricultural development services to other cities in the country. Somalia is a prosperous and resourceful country in terms of Agricultural productions and outputs.
It is famous for its vegetables and fruits exports to Middle East. Known as the world largest producer of banana and lemon, the agricultural development needs like constructing better irrigation systems is a must. It is due to this fact that Shabelle seized the opportunity to enhance the agricultural productivity by applying modern construction engineering model. Due to prolong civil strife the irrigation systems were destroyed and we want to renovate, rebuild, redesign and promote its longevity for future tomorrow.
